In Search of AI

In Search Of Satori by Shyam Sreevalsan

Jediwolf's 'UnderTheGAN' early AI collection marks a milestone, acquiring 'Alternate Universes' works by Shyam Sreevalsan.

"A complete set of four editions minted as ERC-20 tokens in November 2018 on the now-defunct platform "Portion" - the earliest AI-editioned artworks on the Ethereum blockchain."

The fourth artwork - 'The Doorway' - is what puts Jediwolf in rarified air.

In his words:
"According to on-chain data 4 of the 5 editions remain locked in the Portion smart contract. It’s uncertain whether they will be retrieved. If not, I own the only complete set of AU artworks (at least for now)."

The acquisition price is undisclosed but "substantial", and the collector thanks TheNorwegian and FrankNFT for their roles in it.

Paper Prompt Deal

Early AI acquisition is not Jediwolf's only win of the day.

He unearths an overlooked trade from May 11th, with a full 'A rider on a blue motorcycle in the desert' set by Elman Mansimov dealt to NXF-D for 26 WETH.

It is 1 of 21 'Paper Prompt' sets within the 'alignDRAW' collection released with Fellowship in December 2023, each containing 8 prompts.

Aluminatti Exchange

'Gazers #96' by Matt Kane sells for 27.5 WETH to ATS_Crypto_2.

It is 1 of 58 Aluminum Background traits and ATS has been on both sides of the trait just this week, trading another to Roadweb for two Gazers plus 8.9 WETH.

The collector now has 49 Gazers in total, including 3 Aluminum.

RD Report

Nothing hits quite like a collector deviating from the beaten trail to acquire gem(s), and few are better at it than Jediwolf.

I'll clear the Report floor for these words from him, posted later:

"Collecting isn’t a game of weeks or months. It’s not a “race” - it’s a journey meant to last for years. The vast majority of collectors who believed in “land grabbing” were hit hard and are often out of the game. Quality comes with time."

TLDR:
Quality comes with time.

Today Reported:
Sales thresholds of 3 ETH+ Collection, 0.3 ETH+ 1/1, 0.75 ETH+ 1/1/X, and 0.3 ETH+ Edition

Under Threshold...

...but interesting to me is 'monitored for your (in)convenience' by Kelly McDermott selling for 0.25 ETH to FlyingBeagle_x via Ninfa.

I had a chance to get to know Kelly through Light.Art's mentorship program, and specifically I enjoyed learning more about the 'Absurdity of Now' 8 artwork series, as she was then in the process of releasing it. Nice to see it appreciated!
