The Summer of 2025. What a ride.

We watch this market cycle through the Artifaction-Rockefeller 33 artwork sale, with initial WETH sales giving way to new ETH sales.

Cozomo de' Medici said this yesterday: "It's fantastic that a collector was able to get ~1m of liquidity in a few hours. Try that with a contemporary art collection."

I think this is a good take. Collectors will behave in all sorts of different ways at different times for their own reasons. If someone wishes to sell a large grouping of art, it is a positive that they can.

Equally positive is seeing the rapidity with which they are reaching final destinations. For a process that can take months in slower times, we've seen 33% of this large sale re-sell in 24 hours. If you factor in the 8 that went to Benji initially, we are now at more than half unlikely to move again for a while.
