'Death Wannabe' by XCOPY sells to PellaCollection for $475,000 USDC, facilitated by Eli Scheinman via Gondi.
Created in May 2018, the artwork is one of five released on the since sunset R.A.R.E. Art Labs.
It was initially intended to be an edition of 10, but only 4 were minted and exist today.

Only 4 copies were able to be rescued, with the other 3 in the collections of Cozomo de' Medici, XCOPY, and jpeggy.eth.
Thanks to some incredible work by jPeggy, these beautiful and iconic works were brought back to life through a token wrapper to be enjoyed by collectors once again."

Artwork "archeology" sometimes gets a bad wrap and solely the age of something isn't enough to make it sing.
That said, there is something that feels special about wrapping and bringing forward a real one. XCOPY's 20th mint and some of his earliest character work, this one holds up well.
