'Mario Metaverse' by DeeKay sells for 23 WETH | $98,062 USD to Nftinitcom_Savage from Mondoir.
The 1/1 artwork description includes this note: "I wanted to be a game developer when I was young. Super Mario was my favorite game ever as a kid! Things didn’t turn out that way but I still get to make this kind of animation for a living."
The 0:36 animation was originally minted in August 2021 via SuperRare and sold for 36.905 ETH | $100,600 USD.
Two private Nakamoto transactions take place over the weekend:
'RAREPEPE | Series 1 Card 1' /298 by Mike - the original "Nakamoto Card" - is brokered between ZeroG and Diogo via Fountain for an undisclosed price.
'NakamotoFreedom' /300 by 6529er - the 'Memes by 6529' homage - is sold OTC for a reported 13 ETH.

Mondoir releases a third DeeKay 1/1 from the collection, following two transactions over the weekend. This one, however, is different.
While the first two are smaller scope, somewhat niche concepts (for the record I still quite like the Twitter piece), and Foundation mints, this 36-second animation tracks to what many think of when they hear "DeeKay".
It is acquired by a flipping account that now has it listed for 29.15 ETH. It will be interesting to see whether this finds a second home.
