'₥є₥єภ†๏ร' by m0dest sells out a 6,969 token creative system with Transient Labs for 0.0369 ETH each and 254.61 ETH in total (just over $1.1M USD).
After 30.61 ETH in secondary volume, the collection list is now 0.0425 ETH.
70% of each initial acquisition is locked in a refundable vault while 30% flows to the artist. The collector can (1) use it if the artist provides a compelling path, (2) refund it if they don't, or (3) engage on a secondary market.
Via m0dest:
"i’ve worked to earn enough trust to take risks. and i’ve lived both sides. i’ve been the artist trying to spark momentum in a bear market when no one was paying attention, and i’ve been a collector watching artists burn themselves out chasing maximum extraction. i wanted to rewire that dynamic into something cyclical - where value moves between us instead of in only one direction...
the contract has a 3 year clock on the redemption function - so i see it as roughly that, a 3-year journey to build enough value to recirculate the entire supply."
'Amplitudes of Canvas' by Harvey Rayner with Art Blocks Studio sells out for 0.05 ETH each and more than 27 ETH in total.
The 1/1/555 collection goes on to see 20.85 ETH in secondary volume, with a current list of 0.135 ETH.
Via Artwork Description:
"Outputs are like sketches in the sense they are only glimpses into the totality of the algorithm. They are never fully crystalized. They are like the outflow of a mad person because the insane often get caught in loops, obsessing over the same patterns. Through their interaction with the world, the patterns get expressed in varied ways, each time new, but recognizable as belonging to the same behavior."
Via Harvey Rayner:
"I'm committed to giving my existing valued holders first access to my work at a price point that enables the collection to hopefully go on a gain some momentum.
My holders enable me to continue my full-time practice and I do not take this for granted."

'There Are No Owls' by Artie Galerie with Objkt: 14 artist exhibition including 5 1/1 artworks and 9 editions
Now comes the hard(er) part.
A phenomenal result is in for m0dest, expressed in ample trust and funds with 70% protection. What happens next?
Framed as a 3-year or even 2-year journey, anything is possible. $1+M primary is ambitious, but artfully (puns) expressed across a well thought-out collection, 1/1s and editions, and events and activations? It can work and work well.
Framed as a months-long journey during which focus deviates, extraneous mechanisms are introduced, and/or creation stagnates? The value proposition is lost.
That's the beauty and peril of building in public, innit?
Onward.

...but interesting to me is 'World 2 - Desert' by perfectl00p selling for 0.33 ETH to jakers1016 via SuperRare.
This is not the first time I've highlighted the artist and there continues to be something intriguing about the combination of technical precision and nostalgia. (Must be watched as an animation to appreciate)
