Skull of Luci 'Simplified Encryption' by Sam Spratt sells to Bloxperts for 95 ETH ($170,855 USD).
1 of 50 in the collection, Sam Spratt says no Skull "has a more brutal story", with it being the victim of a wallet hack and subsequent bot flipping. The artist praises Bloxperts for his approach and post, both acknowledging original owner Anchor Drops and the desire to give it "...a home again. A place that honors where it began and the people who helped make it real".
We asked Bloxperts two further questions:
Why a Skull of Luci?
"I followed Sam‘s work since the monument game. Besides that he is an incredible artist his work is different. How he produces perfect art in a traditional sense combining it with features only nfts have to build the monument game and the masquerade. And the way he connects in those different layers to his collectors, how he includes them, and how he keeps them engaged is truly extraordinary."
Why Now?
"After the big bang of the masquerade things calmed down and skulls/players/masks changed hands. The event is behind and the next step is unclear. There lies the opportunity for those who believe in Sam and are patient."
Shortly before the Skull acquisition, Bloxperts was on the other side of a Doomed deal.
He sells 'The Doomed (black & red)' /15 by XCOPY to CssualCollector for 42 ETH ($75,536 USD).
The edition of 15 was originally minted in October 2020 via KnownOrigin. This particular one last sold in July 2024 for 17.8 ETH ($62,949 USD).

Hacks and scams are an unfortunate reality of being early. Asymmetric reward? Yes. Easy path? Hell no.
A closed loop doesn't heal all wounds, but it's a step forward. Kudos to Bloxperts for stepping into a Skull situation with a level of class we all benefit from.
