'Autoglyph #185' by Larva Labs sells for 102.5 ETH to DarrenSRS from Seedphrase, in a deal brokered by Eli Scheinman.

It marks the 5th 100 ETH or greater public blockchain sale for the 1/1/512 collection in the month of January, a total not seen in a calendar month since September 2021 (excluding full set acquisition).

Ready Player 256

Anticipation for the upcoming Masquerade accelerates and four editions of 'Player' /256 by Sam Spratt are on the move.

Sales are for 9.35, 9.25 and 9.2 ETH, as well as 9.25 WETH to 3obaFett, ElChango_DD, Serc1n and Blondie23LMD, respectively.

137 of the 256 (54%) are now custodied on Nifty Gateway, their required location for a free Mask claim February 4-6.

Essential Crespo

'essential_protozoa_1862' by Sofia Crespo is acquired for $22,000 USD by an anonymous buyer via ARTXCODE.

“The word 'protozoa' was coined in 1818 by zoologist Georg August Goldfuss, meaning 'primitive, or original animals' (ur-'proto- + Thier 'animal'). Goldfuss created Protozoa as a class containing what he back then believed to be the simplest animals.

Radiolaria are one particular type of protozoa, they are unicellular and characterized by the fact that they produce mineral skeletons.

For the dataset, I digitally collaged several illustrations of radiolaria from the 1862 publication by Ernst Haeckel and then used it as the starting point for a generative, Al process.”
